Konad Flowers (m69) & Butterflies (m78)

OPI "Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees" (2 coats)
designs from m69 and m78
stamping done in Revlon "Punch Chrome", Avon Mirror Shine "Polish" and "Glisten"

Yeah, so as you can see, I really went overboard with layering on this one. Guess it's suitable for going to watch fireworks tonight...lots of colours exploding all around.

Do you think this konadicure is too busy, or do you like it? I'm not sure how I feel...

I started with a polish that I actually really dislike. OPI's "Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees" is really thin and the pigment is almost gritty looking, though it dries smooth. I figured I could use it an a non-descript dark background for my metallic polishes that I really love using as stamping colours.

I decided to make each nail a little different, including some flowers and butterflies on each one, but varying the colour and position of the designs.

Hope you enjoy this wacky konadi, and enjoy your Victoria Day long weekend, my fellow Canadians!

Flyin' High with Konad

Hey everyone,
It's been awhile since I've posted because I was away for the weekend.  Here are a few pics of the konadicure I wore while I was away. I took these about three days after I did the konadi, but they still look in fine shape.

China Glaze "Flyin' High"
Konad IP m79 in Special Black
Orly Bonder b.c. & Seche Vite t.c.

I took these shots in my backyard around dinner time - yay, it's staying light out later!

I know, I know...a lot of pics! But I really like my prop in these shots - my wicked Ed Hardy Butterfly style glasses.  Okay, last one. I promise....

And our new camera takes really awesome quality images, which makes it really hard to narrow them down to only a few.  So, I hope you like having a post with this many pics of the same konadicure!

And a word about Flyin' High - if you don't have it yet, get it! It came out with the Up & Away collection and I really love the colour and super pigmentation.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to leave me your comments!

Wild Pink Beast - Konad m78

I think this pattern from m78 is awesome!  They combined a zebra stripe with leopard spots.  I used this to create a konadicure that looks like the hide of some wild pink beast....what do you think?

I used an old L'Oreal Jet-Set polish I have called "Hasty" which, after years, is still in perfect condition.  It's a hot pink that has just a slight duochrome shimmer.  I used two coats and then applied a coat of Seche Vite topcoat before I attempted this full-nail stamping design.

For a prop for these pics, I used a new blush that I purchased at the Mac Pro store when I visited Montreal recently.  It's called "Full Fuschia"and even though it's a really bright colour for a blush, I am loving it!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I used Konad Special Black for the stamping, and then applied a final coat of Seche Vite to seal it off.  Of course, being the klutz I am, I dropped the brush of Special Black on my completed thumbnail as I was cleaning up and had to restart that nail all over again. EEEEeeek! I hate when I do something like that. It was late, and I really wanted to be done!

Hope you have enjoyed this post. Please leave me some feedback and have a great weekend!
